The Hand-Loomed Jute Rug is made of a jute cotton blend (70% jute, 30% cotton).
Jute is a plant that grows quickly and efficiently, so less land is required to produce it, making it a sustainable material. The fibres of the jute plant have a slightly rough texture, but it’s softer than many other natural materials like Sisal. Since jute is a natural fibre, some shedding may occur.
Jute is sensitive to water, so this rug is not suitable for kitchens, washrooms, mudrooms, outdoors or similar use, and is best suited for living rooms, bedrooms or dining rooms.
Due to the handmade nature of this product, some size and colour variation may occur, which makes every rug purchased unique.
Where is the Jute Rug made?
The Hand-Loomed Jute Rug is handmade in India by master craftspeople. This means some slight variance in pattern and size is not only expected but also part of the process and part of the natural beauty of any jute rug. It is ethically manufactured and is third-party verified during our manufacturer vetting process.
What does a jute rug Feel like?
